Beta

Task Flows

Task Flows are visual multi-step automations in 0nTask that connect apps, tasks and people. Before a flow can be activated it is checked against the connections your account actually has, so a flow cannot go live in a state where it would silently fail.

Where this actually stands

Task Flows is version 0.9 and labelled beta in the app. The flow board, the per-app capability picker and the pre-activation connection check all work today. The step executor that runs a flow end to end is still being built, so treat flows as something to design now and rely on shortly — not as finished automation.

The problem

Why this exists

Automations usually fail quietly. A step points at a disconnected app, the run dies halfway through, and you find out weeks later when you notice the work never happened. The failure is invisible precisely when you have started to rely on it.

Step by step

How it works

You build it, then it is checked, and only then can it be turned on.

1

Lay out the steps

Drop the apps and actions onto the board and connect them in the order they should run.

2

Choose what each app does

Click an app and pick the specific capability you want from it, rather than guessing what the node does.

3

Let it be checked

On activation, 0nTask verifies every connection the flow depends on and refuses to activate if something is missing — naming what to fix.

4

Add people where it matters

Put an approval step in front of anything that touches a client, so automation does not mean unsupervised.

Frequently asked questions

What is a task flow?

A task flow is a multi-step automation that connects apps, tasks and people, built visually rather than in code.

What happens if an app is not connected?

The flow will not activate. The pre-activation check names the missing connection instead of letting the flow go live and fail on its first run.

Can a person approve a step?

Yes. Approval steps are supported so a human sits in front of anything that reaches a client.

Is Task Flows finished?

No. It is version 0.9 and marked beta. The board, the capability picker and the pre-activation check are real and working. The step executor — the part that runs the steps end to end — is still being built.

Does Task Flows require the task list?

Yes, flows depend on the tasks module. That dependency is declared in the module registry rather than assumed.
